Una: Grosse Pointe Michigan Newborn Photography

Una was such a treat to play with. Her beautiful mother is my brother-in-law’s cousin and as soon as I saw her baby, my heart dropped. She looked *just* like my niece Iris who I’ve only been able to see once since she was born 5 months ago. It was like being with little Iris again, she was such a sweet girl and was so sleepy for her session. I just loved photographing her… so much that I actually asked her to come back to model for my promo video which will be released in a few weeks! I hope you enjoy meeting Una in these few photos, her sweetness is even better in person.

Joshua 6 Months: Fenton, MI Baby Photography

I photographed this little guy when he was only a few days old and I could tell then he was going to have big beautiful eyes and an adorable smile… and he was even more precious that I thought! I don’t know how to explain the perspective as a photographer seeing these babies as a newborn and then for the second time when they are 6 months old. It’s surreal and so much fun! Joshua’s session was full of joy, this boy’s smile is contagious! Looking forward to seeing him again when he is a year old.

    Changes for Lauren Marie Photography

New and exciting changes have been in the works for the past few months and I could not be more excited for the direction we are headed. Lauren Marie Photography started out small two years ago, and I really didn’t expect to be great and I certainly had no idea I had such talent. I had hopes of becoming a wedding photographer, but God had other plans for me. Newborns entered my life and I fell in love with the art. For the past two years I have been studying photography, business, newborns,  babies, marketing, customer service… you name it I was reading it or watching it! I have breathed and lived all things photography. I started meeting my clients and building relationships with them, and I wanted to be really great at this and make it my career.

That’s where the changes come in… I know some of you have heard that I was planning to make big changes to our style, our pricing, and our products and the day is here!

Our style… I’m sure you’ve noticed that our photos lately have been soft, more neutral in color, and organic looking! That’s exactly what our new brand is all about. Organic timeless imagery free of props and themes so that your baby can stand out, be little and innocent, and be captured just the way they are. We want you to remember your baby years from now in this form, not in a costume or in a crazy unnatural pose. Our new clothing line for babies newborn-1 year is reflective of that as well.

Pricing… I struggled for weeks with this. I care so deeply about my current clients and I know not all of you can afford the new pricing. This was a hard decision but I had to think of the business and my own income. We are no longer a starter business, our photography is very experienced and top quality. We have the latest top equipment, knowledge and talent, and expensive one of a kind products. As it is right now, I spend hours and hours with your babies and at my computer and don’t get a pay check. A photography business is extremely expensive and all of the income goes straight to business expenses to cover studio rent, bonnets, blankets, hats, TAXES, props, packaging supplies, boxes, USB drives, insurance, camera equipment, studio lighting… the list goes on and on. So with that said, I have confirmed our new pricing and fabulous packages. I think the new pricing is still very reasonable in comparison to many photographers in our state, there are options for everyone, and payment plans available. The pricing is now listed on my website and I will be allowing returning clients to book with my old pricing for the next 7 days and after that there will be no more discounts.

Products…  They are stunning. I have been drooling over them as they come in and I can’t wait to take photo and video of them for you within the next few weeks. They are exactly what I envision everyone doing with their professional photos after they are taken. I believe that even in a digital time, your photos deserve to be in tangible form in an album on your coffee table and all over your walls.. not on facebook or on your computer.

I hope you see the value and quality in our work and realize that it is worth the money you invest in it. Thank you to all my clients for supporting me in the beginning times, I am forever grateful for you.
Stay tuned for the release and photos of our new studio and products!

    Love. Blessings. Thank you.

    Lauren

Mom & Baby: Kristin and Leighelle

There’s something truly special between a mother and her baby, and I think that connection deserves to be photographed. I recently started encouraging moms to get IN the shots I was taking. My vision is to always have images that are full of real life.. forget the poses sometimes and just capture people the way they are, their natural expressions towards their babies… Even if you aren’t feeling your best, I think it’s important that you have these tiny memories of the connections, emotions, and love you share with your children. These moments pass by too quickly, and you will want to remember the little things. The way your baby curled their toes, smiled at your smile, snuggled into your neck, started to stand… I promise you will cherish them now and years from now, and so will your babies. Here’s a few photos of a mom and baby session I had with a beautiful mother and her precious baby girl.
